I drove 1No5 in mid-May in my stock Subaru Forester and the road was in fine condition. Slow in places but no problem. If you get to Aspen Grove Trailhead, the rest is fine.
As of then, there was water at the crossing just past Fish Camp (about 2.3 miles). No water on the trail beyond that to the Summit.
Trail was generally good, although there were a dozen or more trees blocking the trail, but can be bypassed by most anyone unless you have particular mobility issues. There were some short snowfields on the Sky High Trail, but with well worn footsteps that made crossing them doable without crampons or microspikes. Hiking poles helped me with balance. No idea whether it has all melted out or otherwise changed in the last 6 weeks.
