I went up Vivian Creek today (Fri, Jan 3) with a friend. Snowshoes were necessary. Uphill progress was slow because of soft snow conditions, so we only got to High Creek before our noon turn-around time.
The last mile of the road was closed, so we had to go back down the road to look for legal parking.
Water is available at the spot below Halfway Camp where the trail crosses the creek. High Creek is covered with snow in the area where the trail crosses it. We didn’t check to see if water was accessible in the spot about 100 yards downstream, where it often is.
