ParticipantThanks. Wish the map allowed room for more descriptive conditions. Got a general idea though!

ParticipantSGWA trailcrew was on the South Fork trail 11/19 removing many trees from the trail between Poopout Hill jct to Lost Creek jct. They will try to get out again next Saturday 11/26 to do from the Trailhead to Poopout Hill jct.
Good report by the hiker on SGWA switchbacks.app and select South Fork Trail status.
Road is clear to South Fork Parking Lot.
Note that the snow above 8000ft is starting to melt and freeze to ice when sunsets so be prepared.

ParticipantSGWA trailcrew was on the South Fork trail again 11/26 clearing the trail of down trees. They now have cleared the trail from Trailhead to South Fork crossing/meadow. I am sure there is one or two trees that have fallen since but it should be good for now.
As far as trail conditions: very icy in spots(specially in the morning) with some very slippery mud in others places(later in the day). It is recommended to take the winter route from South Fork crossing/meadow to Dry Lake!
