I was wondering the conditions at Dobbs. Is there water at Alger? Is there water at Dobbs or close by? How is the camping there flat, bears, deadfall,…… any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading and sharing. Happy hiking everyone!
From 7/24 Alger creek was flowing good across the trail near Alger Camp. I heard falls creek clearly from above on Falls Trail. Saw at least half a dozen bear scats along Falls Trail between Alger Creek and the Dobbs Trail Spur. Didn’t see the camps but expect they’re a little untidy having been closed for most of the last year.
SGWA Trail crew worked on the Falls creek/momyer trail 7/24. Trees removed. Lots of water at all campsites.
Water availability report comes out on Tuesdays with permits for upcoming weekend. Also is updated as it changes on the Trails drop down on this site, the first tab.
