Stayed at Dry Lake April 29 and 30. About 30 large patches of snow/ice from Dry Lake up. The trail disappears a couple times so a GPS is helpful. Micro spikes not needed but I recommend trekking poles, IMO. I am 6′ tall and did posthole to my knees many times. There were 8 sets of tracks to follow on Friday when we came down. The water at Lodgepole Spring is running 2 liters a minute so no need to carry from South Fork Meadow. Temps were into the low 30’s at night and up to 70 during the climb. Great trip!
