Hiked to SB and ESB peaks yesterday via Forsee Creek Trail. Trail is open to peaks but there are still patches of deep snow, especially between the two peaks, blocking easy transit. Also a few patches on the spur from Trail Fork Springs to the ridge, but just follow the blazes. Only 2 other hikers, coming down from the camp. Water in Forsee and Barton Creeks and in a couple smaller springs crossing on the steep north slope, but dwindling.
Nearly all of north-facing trail below the Fork is in one of the recent burns and heavy debris flows make the trail jumbled and loose in places. Multiple downed trees, with one very large pine that is becoming difficult to skirt. Recommend sturdy boots and poles. On the bright side, there are a lot of wildflowers and woodpeckers.
