Does anyone know the status of water at Saxton ? Looking to do falls creek trail to the summit , stay the night , and head back down falls creek . Stash water at dry lake view camp on the way up so I can grab it on my way back . I will have my 12 year old daughter with me
I assume you are starting at Momyer Trailhead to access the Falls Creek Trail which has plenty of water when you cross Alger Creek. You can get your water there if you aren’t sure or you could go down to Dobbs Camp but that a is an extra mile to go down & back up.
where exactly is Saxton camp ? We hiked falls creek trail to the saddle , never saw a sign for Saxton camp (if there is one) though we did come across 3 areas where the water flowed across the trail which was nice since we were headed to the summit to stay the night .
