Does anyone have any info on how far down the snowline is on the Momyer Creek Trail? The youtube video posted about a month ago looks like it’s around High Creek (9,200′), but wondering if that’s still accurate for this trail or has changed since then. Thank you!
Snow and Ice conditions were above Dobbs Cabin area, but in the past few weeks we have had a series of small storms that have dropped fresh snow on the mountain 4 inches here, 2 inches there, 8 inches another place. I have not had any new reports to update what we knew, but I would expect that you can get to at least Alger Creek without needing anything more than micro spikes – and probably won’t need those to go that far.
Micro spikes may be needed to get to Dobbs Cabin (???) and expect to need crampons if you go up from there, probably before you get to Saxton camp.
We can always use fresh details, so let us know here or at Mill Creek Visitor Center if you go in there.
