South Fork Trail dry up to patchy snow near creek. Patchy snow to the Dry Lake drainage, then more consistent but melting fast. Winter trail still there; lot less snow than few weeks ago.
Cross country to Grinnel mix of snow and burnout. Many tree snags. Snow was all nicely consolidated; only spot spikes were used was ascending a steeper snow slope.
We came back along the ridge then angled down to pick up the now dry trail switchbacks. One was more shaded/had heavy ice, so we downclimbed to the next one; the rest were dry. The switchbacks did have several snags.
Beautiful sunny, warm day with sporadic light breezes. Great day; saw barely anyone down low and had most of the mountain to ourselves!
