Planning an out and back from San Bernardino Peak trailhead to the peak with one night at Limber Pine Bench Campground, October 5 and 6. Any info on water status at Limber Pine springs? Seems from other posts that in past years there has been good late-season availability. I assume Columbine/Manzanita springs are likely dry by October.
Right now we have water at Limber Pine Bench, we have heard the water at Columbine isn’t running any longer. Please contact us at the Mill Creek ranger station just prior to your departure for the latest update on the water availability.
As of Sep 15, the water at Columbine Creek is down to a trickle along creek adjacent to main campground, but it is accumulating well at creek junction just beyond main campground / along trail leading to campground.
