Trail Update: Dollar Lake Trail

We are excited to share a recent accomplishment by our dedicated trail crew! Despite the long and hot day, our team successfully tackled significant trail work on the Dollar Lake Trail.

Our crew reached the Dollar Lake Trail in about 3 hours, navigating around a few tree obstructions on the South Fork Trail. Although there were numerous large tree obstructions, the team managed to clear a section of the trail leading to the lake. However, it will take at least two full days with a double crew to completely clear the trail to the lake, and there are still many dead trees in the area that could potentially fall on the trail.

Around 2 PM, the team decided to head back down the South Fork Trail to remove the tree obstructions they bypassed earlier in the day. They finished this work by 3 PM and returned to their starting point at 4:30 PM for some well-deserved snacks and cold drinks.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the trail crew for their volunteer efforts and hard work in maintaining our trails. Their dedication ensures that everyone can continue to enjoy the beautiful trails safely.
